Yusif Kuseyroglu Tomb was built by Ajami Abubakiroglu Nakhchivani-the founder of Nakhchivan architecture school in the southern east part of Nakhchivan city in 1162.The monument called as Atababa Gunbazi (Ancestral Dome) by native people consists of underground vault and over-ground tomb. Erecting as eight-pointed from both inside and outside, the tomb is covered by pyramid-shaped dome. Yusif Kuseyroglu Tomb is the only monument that remains undestroyed up to date among tower-formed tombs in Azerbaijan.
The surroundings of the tomb were renovated in 2001.
