The tomb of Noah

The tomb of prophet Noah is an architectural monument in the southern part of Nakhchivan city. According to a legend spread among the population of Nakhchivan in ancient times, during the world flood happened nearly 7500 years ago, the ship of Noah and his followers landed for the first time in Nakhchivan and the people settled here. Thus, the new generation has grown up and developed. It is no coincidence that the word "Nakhchivan" means the place where Noah's supporters came from.
Based on the order "On restoration of the tomb of prophet Noah in Nakhchivan city" signed by the Chairman of the Supreme Assembly of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic dated June 28, 2006, the ancient monument was restored on the basis of historical sources.
